Underwater Borrowers Say Owning Beats Renting

Things never stay the same as I just finished reading an article that the survey indicated that some people no longer feel that home ownership is important. Man what happened to the American Dream. Those of us in real estate do not like to hear that but part of that I can understand.

Those that lost their home in a foreclosure, struggling to make their mortgage payments and those that cannot qualify for a loan because of the hard line the lenders are taking sure takes the fun out of it.

The new survey from Fannie Mae recently revealed several interesting insights. Among the most interesting findings: Homeowners who are underwater, or owe more than their homes are worth, are more likely to view housing as a safe investment than renters.
