North Carolina Among Best States for Business

Good news for North Carolina as it was recently named the third best state for business by CNBC, following Virginia and Texas. The rankings were determined by measuring each state in 10 different categories. In those categories, N.C. ranked in the top five for workforce and infrastructure.

We can finally say farewell and good riddance to the first half of 2011 six months that are ending as sourly for the economy as they began.

The good news is most analysts say economic growth will perk up in the second half of the year. The reason is that the main causes of the slowdown high oil prices and manufacturing delays because of the disaster in Japan have started to fade.

"Some of the headwinds that caused us to slow are turning into tail winds," said Mark Zandi, chief economist at Moody's Analytics.

The combination of North Carolina being named 3rd best sate for business and a promising second half for 2011 nationally is encouraging.  With Asheville Real Estate up over 30% in home sales so far this year over last year, prices starting to stabilize and if all time low interest rates will hold Asheville Homes sales should finish strong for 2011.
