The drop in foreclosures in August for North Carolina is encouraging according to the RealtyTrac, residential foreclosures in fell 0.9 percent from July but is up more than 12 percent from a year ago. The state presently ranks 35th in the nation for rate of filings, according to RealtyTrac, Inc.
