Grove Arcade

One of the things we enjoy about going to downtown Asheville is the Grove Arcade. I believe for shopping downtown and finding a great restaurant this is the place. I googled the Grove Arcade and found some interesting historical information.

In 1915, E.W. Grove a self made millionaire had completed the Grove Park Inn he seemed to understand that a successful city needed a vibrant downtown. In the early 1920′s, he began plans to build a new building when he conceived the Arcade as one of the most elegant shopping centers in the downtown area. The Arcade, which was originally envisioned as a 5-story base with a 14-story tower, filled with shops, offices, and living spaces.

So when visiting Downtown Asheville this is the place to stop and visit. If you are here looking for Asheville Homes let me just take a minute to tell you about Asheville Real Estate.

Please if you are visiting and looking for a second home or a home to live in year around other areas to search is Waynesville and Maggie Valley only 30 minutes from Downtown Asheville.

We are seeing a wonderful increase in pending contracts and closings for the month of March this has held true over the last 6 months straight.  It seems that we are starting to see a fast turnaround however prices continue to be an all time low. I do believe as the upswing in sales becomes more known and inventory dwindles that sellers will start standing stronger on their price.

This is a great time with the interest rates so low along with the home prices to think about the investment now. Do not be the one of many that will say man if I had only!
